Machine Forms explore the possibilities of using code to design and create forms directly, with minimal human intervention.
Machine Forms takes inspiration from Sol Lewitt’s instruction-based art where the artist or designer conceptualises and provides specific instructions for teams of people to execute, rather than working directly on the canvas himself
In Machine Forms, we write these instructions in the form of code while our computers execute for us, sometimes in ways which are not humanly possible, for example, the drawing of thousands of lines according to thousands of data points.
One day, machines will come up with these instructions on their own.
